Pre-conference Workshop: I Know What to Teach, but How Do I Teach it Online?
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Sunday, July 8, 2007

This workshop presents a straightforward instructional design framework that stresses the alignment of learning outcomes, learning activities, assessment and feedback. It focuses on student learning rather than instructional input and can be used in any discipline and with any length learning term. It is phrased in language that is familiar to most faculty who have taught in the classroom and establishes a common language for dialog with the instructional design team. This model encourages individual faculty development and the continuous improvement of the faculty member's skills in designing their own courses, rather than attempting to turn instructors into a professional instructional designers or keeping them dependent on others.
